C2 EGT Gauge Install
On a 04.5 600 has anyone installed on yet? I need to know where to tap for the fuses and the power supply to make the motor in the C2 work. Please inform me thanks Paul

Umm, ok no one has done a 600 EGT gauge install u have got to be kidding me
|
My gauge only need lights hooked up so I just tapped into the dimming wire in the headlights. What's a c2?
|
An Autometer C2 it has its own motor within it to make the reading more acurate

never heard of that. I put my wire into the fuse box, i found an empty spot that powered up only with the ignition on and put the wire there. I now have to get a fuse on the thing, i would hate to blow the gauge for something dumb like that.
As for the dimming wire, i went to the light switch. Orange with a white tracer? i think thats what it was. do a search, thats how i found it. |
Well it looks like that you should tap an unused 12v Fuse slot with red, black to ground and white to the Orange/White on the light switch like dodgedude361 said, or what ever is the color of the gauge dimmer light wire.
Sensor install is where you want to drill and tap, most do pre-turbo. My Ultra-Lite Pyro only needed the dimming/backlight like dodgedude361, no internal motor. If pics of the install of my gauges would help take a look. http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines....42-album-14466 |
My Ultra-Lite Pyro only needed the dimming/backlight like dodgedude361, no internal motor link to autometer ultralite pyro install pdf file. note 6 connections on gauge |
RamWheelsBy4 .... I sure like your installation!! where did you get all of the parts? did the tranie line come like that with the gauges? What about the bazel never seen that ... maybe I'm not too up to date though
Thanks |
propinc,
The gauges are Autometer Ultra-Lites, the trans cooler line replacement with the T added for the temps sensor was ordered seperately, I think from http://www.massdiesel.com/d24/amtransmission.htm. The console 3 gauge pod is from Autometer http://hp.autometer.com/products/mou...od_truck.html. I had the guys from www.hotroddiesels.com, which are local in Houston, install the gauges. I am very happy with the gauges and install. They made the gauges look factory. I have seen Di-Pricol gauges that match a little better with lighting at night, but I am happy with mine. |

You are right about the Autometer gauge that I have, I was only looking at the C2 instruction page. Pyro sensor wires to gauge, red, black and white for power, ground and lighting. Maybe the instruction drawing is not exactly what is needed, it is a little different than mine was. http://hp.autometer.com/instructions...nstruction.pdf |
RamWheelsBy4 .. Thanks for the info
