Blown Fuel Heater Fuse
I keep blowing my fuel heater fuse. I have not done any diagnostics yet, heading to the shop to do that now. Anybody else have this issue? It seems my lift pump is not running either. Not sure if and how these are tied together. The lift pump should be triggered from the ECM. The fuel heater circuit should not be tied into the ECM at all. I tried to search for this problem in past thread but for some reason a "fatal error" message with a white sceen keeps coming up so I decided to start a new thread.
Thanks!

Do you run a gauge off the lift pump to know there is no fuel pressure?
Try unplugging the fuel heater, put in a new fuse and see if it blows. if not see if the lift pump seems to be working correctly.

Update after digging into it a bit. (I do have gauges) I found a bad relay for my Fass lift pump so that is functioning fine now. I am guessing the fuse on my fuel heater has been out for sometime. I'll pull the connector off at the heater tomorrow and see what happens. My rig has 250,000 miles on it so I would not be suprised if the thermostat or element is bad. Thanks for the info.

Since the day I bought my 02 brand new off the lot, it has popped the fuel heater fuse every 6 months almost to the day.
I've never looked into or found anything wrong, just replace the fuse and go one with life. I know of a few trucks that are the same way also.
