axle ?

I was in a disscusion and was told the axle is a AAM. Is this a new dana80? And I was told the limited slip works through spider gears and has no clutch packs. Is this correct?
This is for someone elses truck, so I dont know any specs other then its a 3rd gen with limited slip

03 and up has the AAM axle its not a dana.
