Truck throwing code p0514 " battery temp sensor perf/ rationality" anyone have a clue to what or why ? Thanks

 

It means the battery temp and some other ambient temp sensor (prolly the one in the airbox), have a greater difference than what is allowed in the calibration. You should experience no adverse affects and is not a concern.

 

Thanks, I did install a cold air box , probaly the culprit.

 

I've had that code several times last winter, doesn't effect a thing.
