On the drivers side where the shift linkage is, there connects the electrical actuator. Can't figure out if you just unbolt the actuator, will it just slide right off the VB Rod? Then i am guessing the VB Rod just slides threw a rubber grommet on the removal?

Pics would be great if anyone has any?

Thats TTVC motor, unbolt from the trans and push it up and off the TV linkage. The shift and TV linkage is the same as all the previous units, integrated into the one column that goes thru a seal in the case.

Yes, and no.

I have dropped the VB and not replaced it with no leaks.

I have dropped the VB and not replaced it and it leaked.

A lot will depend on how clean the shaft is when you pull it down out of the seal. Clean everything off good and lube the part sticking above the case and a lot of times it will pull out without issue. What frequently happens is a build up of dirt gets left and it will rip the seal as it comes down, or, if the trans is fairly old the seal just gets wore and any disturbance is a reason to leak.

Mine is fairly new, only 25,000 miles, hopefully it won't rip. Thanks for the good info!! Definitely will be putting lube on it now when i pull it out.
