Why is it our fuel systems are so fragile and yet I know of many 2004 and older Cummins engines in semis who don't use any fuel additives and have yet to have the many problems I see talked about on the many pickup truck forums. I have talked to several guy's who hot shot and drive Dodges 2004 & 2005 3500's and they tell me they don't use any fuel additives and haven't had fuel system problems. So why is it they can burn 3-100 times more ULSD then many here burn an not have fuel system or injector problems and they don't use additives?

Go to walmart and buy several 16oz bottles of the product along with gallon jug. 256:1 is 1/2 oz per gallon 128:1 is 1 oz per gallon of diesel. As mentioned above, I use the 256:1. One pint at 256:1 is a fill up for me 30 gallons.

Because they don't have time to hang out on these forums and a large portion of those who do are here trying to fix their problems.

It's called a "non-representative sample" of the truck driving population.

I've never added any to mine. 108K miles....original injectors, cp3. Smarty and MP8 on kill everyday. But I do filter my fuel to 2 microns.

Being I use to drive OTR and have in laws & friends that do, I hear some of what going on in the trucking world and I have asked and have yet to hear about injectors or pumps failing because of ULSD.

No matter how you slice it, all the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd hand information we have available is still a small fractional cross-section or non-representative sample of the total trucking population.

Otherwise known as "anecdotal evidence."

If an engine is leaving anything at all in the exhaust it has another major problem or it is being used for mosquito warefare!
If you pull the exhaust off of a decent running snowmobile thats using tcw3 oil you sure as h3ll wont see any carbon!
A snowmobile or outboard works its **** off at over 8000 RPM most of its life with 1 litre of oil per 50 liters of fuel or 1 quart of oil to 50 quarts of fuel for you folks down south
So yes I use it in my fuel because it is an excellent lubricator and burns clean.
I dont even try to measure it just dump about a half quart in before I fill up.
Another very important bonus about using the outboard oil is its built in moisture handling and anti rust additives!

Not a trivial factor when you consider moisture/water in fuel is a known primary culprit seen with injector and pump failures.

You can use it if you want. Personally, I don't think it's necessary.
