Yesterday my check gauges light came on out of the blue while i was driving down the road. My battery voltage is around 12v. It just sets around 12v and never comes back up to the normal 14v. I havent had a chance to check anything. Where can i start. The truck is a 2006 with just above 9000 miles, i wouldnt think it would be an alternator but thats what it acts like to me. Someone help me on this one. thanks in advance.

 

could be the alt. also i would think it would be a warranty fix?

 

It stopped raining long enough for me mess with the truck. The positive terminal on the battery was loose. Thank s
