I just bought one of these. Are they any good? I am just looking to make it breathe a little better. Alos how do you clean them? Thanks!

The stock OE filter suprisingly is one of the best filters you use most guys on here say. I sent Baldwin an emal to findout some specs on thier drop in filter to see how it compares.

The updated stock filter Mopar # 53034249AA is greatly improved over the original stock Filter. Geno's has them in stock $26.00. The filter is 3 times as thick as the original.

Should have asked BEFORE you bought.

There are much better kits for the money. That looks like a chinese knockoff that is charging you $200 for the word "GREEN" and all the saving the planet connotations that subconsciously make you want to buy it.

Wow. You can buy a green filter for about $70 that fits the stock box, is that little box worth the extra $150?

With so many people having silicone levels rise using K&N and other aftermarket filters, I don't want to risk my intake.

I'd like to see dyno numbers proving any of these work better than stock. I've seen plenty of numbers showing denied warranties and repair costs with using them, let's see some real numbers showing power gains with intakes or exhausts.

The only reliable testing I have seen shows no improvement is available, and Dodge has a pretty good stock system. But I'll keep an open mind while you guys post some numbers! :cool:

Just picked up a Mopar # 53034249AA filter on e-bay, best price I could find, works excellent.

I actually bought the filter, box, ss grill inserts, a third light brake cover that is a Ram, 3 Fram Fleetguard fuel filters, a new stock air filter, a stock grill, and an exhaust elbow for 52.00. I just though since I got it, I would use it. So it is not even as good as my stock box? Just looking to keep EGT's down. I thought I would install it and pull the baffles out and see if it helped it. My buddy put a drop in cone filter in his and he said his went from pretty good to great.


This all came about b/c I bought a SuperChips Programmer for dirt cheap and installed it on tow mode. When I got on the truck hard it black smoked and then quit pulling hard, the rpm's didn't want to go over 2200 or so. My buddy said air filter looked like it was dirty (year old about 6k miles) and that since I have the same fuel from Nov. in my truck ( I put in an additive) with the same fuel filter it may be all clogged up. It has been 30 or below for a month now. Sorry I know this was long, but that's where it came about. Thanks

Did you email Genos an ask if there $26.95 53034249 Mopar air filter is the same as the Mopar High-Efficiency Air Filter #53034249AA? The photo they show is of a stock Mopar air filter and not the bigger HE air filter that looks almost like the air filter for the 6.7L.

I just ordered the filter from mopar online for 20.90

DBLR I did call Geno's and confirm it was in fact the same filter. They had left the AA off the # . I have already received them and they are the 53034249AA. The picture on Geno's webb site has not been updated and is still showing the old filter. This filtr looks good it has to be at least 3 inchs thick.

So can anyone read my post above and help me with the truck not running right with the programmer?

Does anyone know if Dodge has put out the CFM, Efficiency and Dirt Capacity numbers for the Mopar High-Efficiency Air Filter #53034249AA so one can compare it to a Fleetguard air filter? My self I would like to know what I'm getting being it cost $12.00 more then a Fleetguard air filter.

I havent seen anything for the new EO filter, but I am going to start running the Baldwin air filters.
