aftermarket keys

My wife dropped one of my keys in the lake I have a spare but also had one made at walmart the thing is it starts but then dies. I know its the immobilizer or security feature built in to the key My ? is can I remove a fuse to disable this feature in case the other key gets lost before the new key comes from Dodge and does anyone know how much a replacement cost from Dodge

You have to program the new key using the existing two keys. The operators manual explains how. If you loose one of the original keys you can't program the new key, have to go to dealer and pay.
