Adjusting valve lash while injectors are out

I'm thinking I will adjust the valve lash on my truck while the injectors are out as it's much easier to barr the engine without compression. The only problem I can see is that you have to remove the exhaust rocker arm to get the injectors in/out. How much will it affect the adjustment to remove and replace the rockers after adjusting the valve lash? Not sure if anyone here has even tried this. I plan on posting my results when finished with this.

The inline 6 cylinder Cummins CR is an extremely simple engine to work on. There is no need to take short cuts, especially with something so simple as valve lash.

Put the injectors back in, set the valve lash. Done and done right.. :)

It wasn't really a shortcut so much as something to do while waiting on the new injectors to show up. Just thought I would check the valve lash while they were out. was really easy to do and only 2 valves really needed any adjustment. I will be rechecking the lash again after injector install. Truck has been sitting for two years waiting on money for injectors. Probably will need to drop the fuel tank and clean it as well. At least this will give me a chance to mod the vent too.
