50 MPH towing <500 miles?

I don't get it. If I have 10,000 miles on my truck at my first tow, they want me to tow it under 50 MPH? Or is it only under your first 500 miles on the truck under 50MPH.
I'll have about 2000 miles on mine before I tow, and I'll be damned if I'm going to go under 50MPH.
I've towed my ATVs, but nothing real heavy yet.

After 500mi, tow whatever you want, as fast as you want. The 500 miles are just so the rear end gears can set/lap.

I will reread my manual, but my understanding of the "Book" was keep it @ 50 mph or less during the first 500 miles of towing, regardless of vehicle mileage. Who wants to drive for ten hours @ 50 mph????
