5.9 surging when put in gear

I have a 07 5.9 that is surging as soon as I put it in gear 235,000 miles it is never done this before. Any ideas. Thanks in advance

Surging maybe the wrong term

my truck being an automatic just takes off and start shifting it will hit fourth gear in a matter of 100 feet but only be going 20 miles an hour and when you put on the brakes it will not stop.

Just happened to me

My truck had a light knocking sound but ran normal so i let it run like that. I pushed hard on the gas pedal and after coming to a stop light the truck surged and rpm kept going up. I drove it like that for about 1 month it would surge when on reverse and on drive but not on idle or park. Then one night i just lost power and stsrted smoking and trembling . I thought it was a bad injector because it had the symptoms, so i thought. Ended up being #5 cylinder pushrod. It had disappeared. Long story short, the push rod was inside and had aboout 4in missing. Took it out put new one in and it fit. Thats where i am. The problem im having is how to find the missing piece.

Oh boy lots of air bubbles in my transmission fluid it is not Burnt Still a nice r

Still a nice red color the transmission shifts automatically to fourth gear by the time I get to 20 miles an hour nuts

I guess the torque converter is locking up so it might be The valve body or the torque converter I Do not know anything about these parts for my transportation
