4wd indicator light flashing

05 3500, auto trans, manual transfer case..

on the highway the 4wd light will flicker on from time to time, and stay on for a little while, then it comes off.. I have a manual transfer case and i know that the truck is in 2wd operation...

same case and point, if i stop and put the truck in 4wd high, or low, the indicator light will not turn on...

yet it chooses to flicker on the highway...


i have done the searching for it, and have come up with issues only with the electronic 4wd,

anyone have similar issues?

With the truck off hold the odometer button and turn the key on ( gauge test) does the 4WD light stay on solid ? If it does then there is a sensor on the driver side on the top of the t-case, possibly going bad ?

gauge test? hmm never new we had that

did the gauge test.

all of the lights come on except for the service 4wd and the 4wd indicators.. again truck lights it on and off from time to time...

ill check the sensor on it to see if its faulty.. but i do know the 4wd works...

i locked it in and did some turns and boy does it work.... high and low...

mine does the same exact thing, i know last year the 4WD light worked. not going to worry about it too much though.
