48RE Shifting Problem FIXED!

Thanks to the excellent information provided by members of DTR, I was able to solve the "shuttle shift" / late 2-3 shift / "hunting" problems with the 48 RE in my '05 2500. I bought both the Governor Pressure Solenoid and Governor Pressure Sensor at TransmissionPartsUSA.com for less than $100 total. They had the parts shipped to me in less than 24 hours via UPS Ground (from Ft. Myers to Orlando, FL). I replaced the filter and did the band adjustment while I had the pan off. It took just under 5 quarts of ATF+4 to refill the trans. Trans shifts like brand new! Thanks again for the fantastic info, y'all!

I tried that too. Didn't work for me. I thought that would fix it too!
