48RE shifting?

I now have 3300 mile on the Ghost Rider.

When accelerating WOT though the gears, 1st shifts into 2nd at 3100-3200 RPM, 2nd shifts into 3rd at 3100 to 3200 RPM, (the next shift is where my problem is) 3rd shifts into 4th at 2500 RPM! (no slipage) This is at WOT! If I hold it manually, and manually shift, the transmisson slips between 3rd and 4th.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I went to the dealer today and he said that he has no way to change the shift points on the transmission. Is there a way to change these shift points?

Also while driving normally, it locks up in OD at 50 mph, bringing the rpm down to between 1300 & 1400 RPM. I feel this is much too low. Dealer again said that he has now way to adjust the lockup. Can this be adjusted?

I like the lockup into overdrive at 50 even though it does seem a little soon. I don't think they can adjust it without taking out the valve body and than the tech would have to know what he's doing.

The 6spd shifts whenever you want it to.:D

I have experienced the same, on my 04. It only has 1000 miles and does the same. I think the truck would feel faster if it would hold 3rd longer.

At WOT the truck is decent but not a racer by no means. I wonder if any power mods will change this. Maybe someone with a box can respond. Does the Edge change anything in the tranny??

Thanks Guys

Turn off your over drive and you can take it to redline for the last shift. Then push the button and the OD shifts and torque converter locks. I do it all the time when I want to get into traffic.

Turning off the OD works well for me too.
