Looking at upgrading from my 2000 1ton to a 2005 1ton what are some of the common problems that come up in the 05 like the 2nd gen had lift pump problems what do the 3rd gens have???? the 05 i'm looking at has just over 200,000 on it but mostly all highway both trucks are automatic 4x4

 

Not to many issues with the 05. The 05 will have 325hp and 610tq stock. The biggest issues would be injectors, intercooler, and tranny. Some of the 05 intercoolers had plastic end tanks that bust over 40-45 p.s.i. The injectors do not hold extreme pressure boxes and the trannt does not like mods to well over 400hp. As stock should not have any issues but routine maintence.
