Re:3/4 throttle is equall to the floor
Was the truck a 6spd manual? I've noticed this on my truck as well as many other manual equipped vehicles. Since you don't have to floor it to hold the gears longer, there isn't really as much need. That's not to say that I don't romp on it every once in a while though ;D

Men, I was the individual that posted that. I was wondering if Rod or Scotty had noticed it b4 and after box or injector changes. It ain't right. I know that. If I mash to the floor, it needs to go faster.
my truck is 6 shooter.
Time for more serious investigation.
Bikinaz - does not do it now that you have the ez???? Which setting, all settings or what?
TIA
John

Re:3/4 throttle is equall to the floor
My truck used to be the same way at 3/4 to 7/8 it seem to pull better than if you had it on the floor. I belived it to be the way the throttle sensor was reading or something to that effect, also after installing the E-Z I noticed it no longer acted the same way, now full throttle is on the floor and 3/4 is 3/4 like it should be. I was a little timid about the E-Z and used it in steps 1 thru 6 to be on the safe side before deciding on which one I was comfortable with but the throttle position is the same on all setting on the box, Its normal like it should be.

DF5152 and boostin are on the right track.
Even my 01' did this until I had the TST Powermax Comp on it.
I noticed with the stock power I had to adjust to 3/4 as full power. Now I have better response with the Bullydog I am running. This one does the Cam sensor, Crank sensor etc.
I am looking forward to the TST for my 04'. ;D

Me too...this is the long awaited box for many! Supposedly adds 150HP and 400lb ft with everything else being stock.

Re:3/4 throttle is equall to the floor
Found this on another site. I know it is for the trans but thought that it might help with the throttle to.
I can't take credit for the idea as someone else posted how to do it awhile back. Then my local dealer's service writer told me the same thing when I stopped in for a re-flash. He said do this and then decide if I wanted the re-flash as it's not reversible.
I'd been having an intermittant shift problem with my 47RE. It would shift to second and third all at once giving the sensation that it was slipping and jerking. It would only do it if I let off the throttle alittle after a launch just as it was ready to shift to second. That and it would shift to O/D and lock up the T/C while I was moderately pouring on the coal instead of holding the gears longer like it should.
What I did was disconnect the batteries for a couple of minutes, then reconnect them. Turn the key to run but don't start the truck. Slowly push the accelerator to the floor and back to idle. Turn the key off. This apperently teaches the PCM the voltage ramp from idle to WOT.
When I closed it up and drove off, I couldn't believe how much better the shifts were and how the tranny responded to the throttle. I'd been missing my '01's 47RE because of the way it shifted not knowing this one just needed a "learn run".
Very good info and thanks to whoever it was who posted it!
Good Luck
