And btw, DONT get it fixed unless you want the annoying horn to honk with the door open, truck running, in reverse(backing into a parking spot, lining up to a trailer, etc)

I always had the habbit of setting the parking brake when I exit a running vehicle(and non running manuals), just force of habit...

I am not having the TSB done, screw the horn honking with the door open, youd think they could come up with a better "fix" than that...

I agree with Stacked.

You DO NOT want this annoying "fix" done to your truck. If you ever have to back up with your door open, it will drive you insane.........so I hear.

Mine doesn't have it and never will.

Just get yourself in the habit of always applying the parking brake when exiting the truck......running or not.

Eventually I'm going to wire a switch on the horn so I can back up without the darn thing blowing. Now I just make sure the door is closed while backing.

Just snap the seat belt buckle into the lock and the horn will not sound with the door open while backing up. Or, visit a local breaker (junk yard) and cut the seat belt off to keep in the center console for the occasion when you need to jump out to see how close you are to the ball when hooking up.

Better yet, if you haven't had the "fix" completed, just don't have it done!

The seat belt fix does not work on the 04.5 and I have heard th 05 also. Save time and don't go to the junk yard, just pull the seat belt plug under the seat and put a wire jumper across the plug and the truck thinks the belt is installed all the time, no annoying bells and whistles when you start the truck.
