12mpg ***?

checked my mpg today and its like 12.5 i ran the whole tank and got on it maybe 4 or 5 times. My truck is a 06 2500 4dr 4wd with i/e/BDDL and it also has 315 BFG's on it. Is there anything i can do to make it any better? i hear most getting like 15-17 in the city and im no where near that. The chip is on extreme and now i put it on tow/econ just to see if the makes a differance but it sucks.

East Coast,
I have an '06 3500 (see sig) stock except Pacbrake that just turned 8000 miles. My average for those miles is 13.75, hand calculated by filling until I can't fit any more in the filler neck. The Idiot gage shows 15.9 mpg average. It has been off as much as 3.7 and as close as 1.1 mpg on each tank. The average highway - empty (long trips 65 mph or less) is 16.44, towing 10K travel trailer is 10.75, and empty less than 65 mph is 14.98. All hand calculated! Driving in hills of PA with the trailer towing to Knoxville, TN and back (all highway). My '98 1/2 and 2001 2500's averaged 15 in winter, 17 mixed, and 18-19 highway same trucks as current, but 2500.

How many miles on the truck. It can take up tp 30k miles to be fully broken in. (Unless you do some heavy towing)

ok well that makes mine a little bit better because i have bigger tires so it will take away from the fuel mileage somewhat but i figured the bullydog would up the mileage some too. it seems like everyone on here is getting like 15-18mpg city

What is the TSB for the reflash. I see one for the smoke but it looks like late 05 only. I also get about 14.5 -15 mpg 75 mile trips. Some one I know gets 18.4 same trip?? Both auto 06 trucks

i would take it to the dealer and ask for the latest flash, because you are seeing bad fuel mileage. they should help you out.
