12 valve into a 3rd gen.truck

has anyone done a swap like this. i have a 95 two wheel drive with a 12 valve, auto.trans. and i like the 3rd gen. trucks ,and can pick up one for a lot less than a diesel option truck. i am thinkn like a 04, 05 ,3/4 ton ,quadcab ,4x4 with a gas engine, auto trans. its a money thing. anyone want to share !!!!. anyone.

I have thrown around the idea of putting a 12v in an 03 cummins 6spd truck, but that is as far as I have gotten. The gauges are the biggest hurdle in the swap. If you are going to do a 12v auto, you can use the 47rh and adapt it to a 3rd gen 271 transfercase. Wiring would be fairly strait forward.

I know there have been 3rd gen 12vs made mostly for pulling. Not sure how many there are out there for daily driving. The one guy I talked with did one but he used all aftermarket gauges to avoid the factory wiring.

I am doing this swap right now, motor mounts are a problem, so I am building my own.

you listed motor mounts twice, would that mean they are a bigger issue then the others? or was that just by accident....
