52123162AA this is the right part # for a manual but I wonder if the out put shaft of the t-case is the same on a NV5600 and a G56. If the slip yoke will slide in on both T-cases?

Don't know about the slip yoke being the same or not, but maybe try calling dealership and check part #s for the yoke. Worth a shot.

the gen 2 one ton trucks actually had a tsb for a driveline carrier spacer to stop a shudder, if the truck was ran empty they had a half inch spacer and if it was loaded 90% of the time they had a shorter carrier housing......havent ran into a problem with the gen 3 truck unless it was a short box deisel... those all vibrated

Both my trucks had launch shudder, had to shim the one ton 3/4 inch and the 2500 needed 1/4 inch shim. My dually has had a vibration since day one at about 60 mph no matter what iv'e done, so I hope when a get the new driveline it goes away.

I have about 1" to 1 1/8 " of shim in my carrier seamed to be the best. I am just don't like putting a new carrier bearing in twice a year. Kinda costly compaired to a new one pice shaft. As soon as I figure out if the slips yokes are the same, The new one will be on the way.

Update- looks like it may be awhile before I get the driveline as no one has one and they don't know when they will. It figures just my luck.

well I ordered the one pice shaft last thursday, but it has not shown up yet. Hopefully it fits !! For the people that have one it there like a protective coating on it to protect it from carrosion? If not I was thinking of polishing it? But not sure if that is a good plan or not?

The aluminum driveshaft under the '08 just looks uncoated, with the natural sacrificial oxide layer on top... if you finish/polish it, you'll have to get it anodized or clear-coated to keep the look.

Thanks for that, Good to know, I will probably run it for now ( once I get it) once it starts to look like it needs a face lift I will take care of it.
