I repaired the Tach on my 06 Ram by removing the screws around the back of the guage cluster only on the Tach side .Someone had posted recently that would solve the problem. I owe him a beer worked great so far. 2 years with an erratic Tach. Thank You

I Actually had to leave out more screws. I have only the outer most screws holding it together. After following the instructions I checked and it seemed to work. I put it back in and put the first 4 screws that hold the cluster in the dash back in and something told me to double check it.... Sure enough the tach was at about 200 at idle. I pulled it out and did just the outer most screws and all is fine now. I still get a twitch now and then at idle but 99.9% of the time it's perfect!!
