06 speedo recalibrate question

I have been to 3 different dealerships and I still have a speedo that reads 3 mph slow at 60 mph. I spent all afternoon with the last tech entering every different tire size and/or pinion ratio and thats still as close as we could get. Is the star scan tool screwed up or are the techs just not informed enough yet. Not one of the techs I talked with even knew what transmision I have. It's the G56 by the way. Do they even train these guys?? 3 mph at 60 is a 5% difference. Surely there has got to be a way to get it closer than that.

5% of 36000 is 1800. That is how many more miles your warranty will last...

What brand of tires? What is the Revolutions per mile # you are using? I believe that is the # they use to recalibrate the speedo. To be accurate you need to measure the loaded radius of the tire (center of wheel to ground) to get the correct circumference. Then you can get an accurate Rev's per mile#.

Every tech I talked with said that the 06's have changed the way you calibrate the tires. They don't do it with the revolutions per mile anymore.I did figure my warranty would last an additional 1800 miles this way, I would just rather have my speedo correct. Guess I'm too picky-- After all, I do drive a Dodge w/CTD
