Hello all. Am new to this site but have been reading alot on here and like it alot. My 03 3500 has a problem. When I floor it at any speed it will start to take off then completely loose power (not die) then if I let off it runs fine. It seems to run fine the rest of the time also. I replaced the fuel filter and the lift pump thinking that might be it but it didn't help. Also puzzling is that no codes show up on the scan tool either. Anybody else have this problem that was figured out. I have been told it might be the throttle position sensor but I hate to spend over $500.00 if thats not the problem. Any help?

See if some one can check it out for you that has a smarty or any one with a box. have you tryed the key to see if ther is any cods coming up ? == good luck ==

 

Thanks for the reply. I did try the codes and nothing showed up. I feel kind of dumb because it ended up being a dirty air filter. It wasn't that old and looked clean but that's all it was. Lucky me.
