Angry transmission issues AGAIN! - Won't go over 35-40 mph

Aloha Ram friends
I had the trans rebuilt about 2 years ago after blowing it up... New bands and solenoids and TC.

Tonight when I hit about 35mph (regardless of the gear, or OD setting), the transmission would feel like it was slipping into neutral and defueling.
at this point the RPM would bounce as the transmission would engage, then disengage (and engine de-fuel), than catch again. About 1-2 times per second. The truck will not go over 40mph. I stomped on the throttle to see if that had any affect and it ended up overheating the trans...
everything runs normal until about 35mph. I tried putting it into each 1st gear, 2nd gear, OD off, and each time it does the same thing.
At first I thought it was the transmission, but starting to think it is a computer or speed sensor issue.

I tried to look it up but was unsuccessful at finding anything like it.

any help so I know what shop to have it towed to...?
Thanks much.

Ha! I figured it out. It was the transmission output speed sensor. Was causing the engine to de fuel and tranny to spaz out.

Works great now... $22 from the parts store and several hours scrubbing the Internet.

Did you have a check engine light?

That's what was strange about it. No CEL! Otherwise I would have - should have looked there first... Would have saved me a ton of mis-guided research.
Had a code saved P0720 which led me to the sensor. Not sure why it didn't trigger the CEL.
