I am pretty sure I would do it again. It would have been much easier if I didn't have so much "help". LOL. With 3 very anxious little helpers, and a father who came by to "help" I'm surprised I was able to keep everything straight. To me, I like learning, and saving money was a priority. If you are OK with being your own warranty company, then I'd do it. Of course, I was prepared to have to take it back apart if something didn't work right. That, and readjusting the rear band 2 extra times now has made me really appreciate the drain plug I put in.
I posted a really long post over here if you would like to read it. It's probably worth your time if you are considering it.

This is a great thread. I'm just trying to gear up to rebuild my tranny and threads like this are gold.

Great thread

Did you throw a 300 psi gauge on that tranny and test it? All I did to my truck was install a Transgo shift kit, billet accumulator piston and Mag-Hytec pan. After all that work I just had to know where my pressures were and how they compared to the stock pressures. You did way more than I did.

I bought mine from Goerend for $125.00. I get a kick out of knowing where the pressure is...I might go ahead and install a hard line/permanent gauge so I can continue to monitor it.
