allison 1000 and nv262 transfer case - $800 (healdsburg / windsor)


allison 1000 with 4x4 electronic shift case attached from 2001 chevy duramax powered pickup. 5 speed model transmission ran and drove great when i test drove it prior to buying. tcase was supposedly gone through by previous owner due to case leak, visible orange silicon around edges seems to confirm his story. No torque converter tranny had 160k miles.

my plan was to have a shop go through it check the clutches do a mild build etc, but the local tranny shop told me not to bother unless i was planning to upgrade the engine. i was planning to install into a suburban with a duramax. but time isn’t a luxury i have these days. the next thought was keep it for a allison cummins combo since it has the same 29 spline output shaft .... but again after holding onto it for a year and wanting to do a project i now know it isn’t going to happen and this toy needs to go
