Will 24s fit? If not, what will?

No, I'm not going to get "bling" rims for my truck. What I'm wondering is why the stock wipers are 20", it looks like 24s will are within a 1/8" of fitting. Does anyone know if they'll work? Not like it is a huge purchase in most cases, but I'm looking to try the new Valeo wipers out which aren't exactly cheap at $30ea.

Why not get the 20" ones?

if you are tall that last 2 inches of windshield is where it all happens, I know 'cause thats the part I wish I could see out when its rainin.

Jeeze that is pretty tall!

You ask why, I ask why not! :D The way I figure is if the glass is there, may just as well put it to use.

I find the 20" ones are a bit long.
The last 1/2" to 1" seems to float and not quite contact the window as is.

$30 bucks a piece  , I doubt they are worth it,
my last set of generic "winterblades" lasted a year, I think that's pretty good.

I put 24's on both our trucks and they worked better than the 20's.

How close are they to not clearing the top seal?

I agree...

My last generic blades were 2.99 a piece and lasted 2 years! About a buck a year for blades...

30 a blade don't waste your money on them...

Not to sure. All I know is that I like em on there. Makes driving in rain easier. Just get em, you will be happy.

BoostdCTD 11-08-2005 04:19 PM

Well I got a set of 24 Valeos on the way. :)

Thanks for your inputs.

Oh, and FWIW I paid $30 shipped to my door for both (eBay). The reason I want to try them is in hopes of reducing streaking, trying something new, and not having to worry about ice sticking to them in the winter. :)

Well I got them installed now, no issues with fitting. It is quite something how much of the glass is cleared now, only spot missed is between the two wiper's return spot and in the upper passenger side.
