Re: whypers
I have a 94 Dodge 3/4 ton and my wipers are slappin the side of the truck. Has anybody had this type of problem. Buddy of mine says it might be the wiper transmission, but I am not for sure.

BlackSheep:
www.car-part.com

Lil Red:
Does it have a full sweep, or do they stop high on the windshield? If the stop high, you may be able to resest the wipers. You pull them up, and there's a little slide where they connect to the shaft coming out of the cowl. When you pull them up, you slide the lever and it keep them up so you can wiggle the wipers off of the splined shaft and rotate them to the new position, push them back down on the shaft. You then pull the arm up again, slide the lever back into place and the the wiper will rest on the windshield again.

Chris

Re: whypers
Blacksheep:

Mine had the same problem. I removed the wiper motor assembly and removed the magneto cup (black piece) from the motor. It was full of water and the brushes were amost gone. Some WD40 and some brushes from a ricers alternator later... wipe-wipe- smile. I siliconed the motor for good measure.
Total time spent: 1.5 hrs, motor repair alone about 20 mins. Money spent: 1 beer for the guy from the Bosh shop to find the brushes, and about 2$ for the brushes themselves.

HTH

AlpineRAM
