Ya I can see that even at that price they don't last long .To bad everyone I've found is on dealer lots so you get to pay 7% more tax for gst on top of the 7% Provincial tax.

I can't believe you can't find one for under 30,000 Their is a auto and truck trader ,they have quite a few 12V for pretty good prices. They range from 13,900-17,900.make sure you check the block out

Why would you check the block out? The 53 block is a 24V problem from what I've heard and seen. Have you seen a 12V crack a 53 block???

because

they are rarer, have easy bombability, convenient size, look good, have old school mechanical engines with 24V interiors, and quad cab doors.

because they are rarer, they are pricier, and because the 12V is such a good engine and easy to work on, most ppl dont want to let them go.

Find one like that with a five speed and 4wd, and u have the holy grail.....

What part of canada are you from , www.raimondsainion.com has a 98 12 v , ext cab , not 4 door...

It doesn't matter to me if i buy it from a dealer or not , i get stuck with 15 % HST no matter how i swing it... so consider yourself lucky.

I'm from B.C. as for buying from the states you have import fees, inspection fees, are lower dollar so it works out the same $ or more and all the hassle

15 % HST that sucks

I bought my 98 QC SB 4X4 in Calgary this spring - it was quite a bit less than $25k and has 140 kms on it.
