Weights...
 

Does anyone know what the Hood, and fenders weigh each? I would consider replacing them with carbon fiber if there was a fair amount of weight reduction.<br><br><br>Thanks!<br><br>--Phillip<br>

Wouldn't it be cheaper to use that money and bomb your engine to carry all the extra weight ;D <br>Personal I don't think the cost would be justified for the little weight savings these rigs are made to tow heavy trailers ??

You know that, and I know that but this guy I'm racing for has some &quot;hook-up&quot; with this company that wants to do a dodge and so I told them just what you said, but I figured I would ask on the weight anyhow... [eyecrazy]

The hood might be worth it but the fenders don't weigh that much at all. I haven't weighed either but the fenders are pretty light as is.

Carbon fiber or fiber glass... sorry , just gotta ask.<br>I can't imagine how much a carbon fiber hood and fender set would cost [eyecrazy]

I can get the hood custom made for $500, and the fenders about the same for a pair.

If they make the hood with a cowl or something, I would do that just for the looks. Most aftermarket fiberglass hoods run 600ish. If this is really CARBON FIBER, I'd jump all over the hood ;D
