Warranty Question

Isn't my warranty still good? I thought they had a 100,000 5 year. But when I called they said my warranty was no longer good anymore? Just curious, a warranty is a good thing to have and would that have covered ball joints and an outer tie rod and a track bar? Thanks
Re:Warranty Question

Well According to your bio it looks like the 5 yrs is up. It goes by whatever comes first 5 yrs or 100,000 mi. This is my understanding of it. If you talk to the dealer whom you bought it from they will often call Chrysler if the warranty has just recently expired, and I have heard of them breaking the cost down to thirds ie... you pay third, dealer pays third, and chrysler pays third.

Re:Warranty Question

The 100,000 is engine only. DC knows they can't build something as reliable as the Cummins engine. So you're out of luck at 50,000 mi or 5 years for the tie-rods, ball joints, etc. Yeah, I bought an extended warranty and it wasn't a month later when I needed some service on a leaking rear differential and I was not covered. Funny how that works!
Re:Warranty Question

I've got one. My A/C went out on me about 50 miles out side of the 3/36 warranty. They still charged it under my extended warranty and I had to pay the $50 deductible. Oh well. They had to pay $900 something. I also had them check the passenger rear door inside handle cause it wasn't working, and my passeneger side window switches kept falling out. Did they fix it? Nope. They said it's not covered under warranty. >
