Vacuum actuator
Hi folks,
I am looking for the vac. actuator that opens the dash vents on a 97 Dodge Ram - it's the one with the yellow vac line.
This one munched it's diaphragm and I need a new one.
Anybody got an idea as to where to get it for a reasonable price?
Thanks!

That's the one by the accelerator pedal that switches from defrost to the vents? ( When it fails it is stuck on defrost ) If so, I have one in the door pocket of my truck, not sure what problem it will be to ship to you, but the part number is 04720279AB, about 58 bucks US new. I just got one from the junkyard when mine went out.
PS the service manual says you have to disassemble a bunch more than you really have to, I got it without removing anything difficult. Hardest part was getting that stupid clip off.

Yep, the one besides the go pedal- with a yellow vac hose.
It was only 2 "wood" screws and slightly tilting and pulling the rod from the clip.
Thanks for the part # , since shipping will be a bear I'll ask my freight forwarder in TX to get a new one from the dealer.
