Upper A-arm/suspension arm squeek

1997, 2500 2wd. Noticed for the past 2 weeks of a squeek when hitting bumps on the drivers front wheel. All normal wear suspension components have been replaced in the past year. 130,000 on the truck.

Hopefully I have my terminology correct, but it sounds like the squeek is coming from the rubber bushing that the pivot bar passes thru on the upper a-arm. Near the area of the threaded pertion that faces forward towards the front of the truck (there is a lock nut on this front portion).

I have tried some pb catalyst and it does not help. I am pretty certian this is where the noise is coming from. I had a friend get on the bumper and bounce up and down, located noise to this spot.

So I assume the rubber bushing needs replacement. How big of a job? Chiltons, makes it sound easy, no need to remove upper ball joint, just remove the cotter key on ball joint, remove nut, separate, remove the pivot bar bolts, and remove the upper a-arm.

How do I get the bushings out, and how do I replace them? BFH and a piece of pipe? I assume the front end need alignment after? Who carries this part NAPA or a dealer item only?

Any info will help, thanks, Kevin
