Rear Wheel Well Liners - Installation Question
So I bought the factory wheel well liners (thanks for deleting them, Chrysler!) and installed them today - I was wondering about the top portion of them though - I tucked the top part of the liner up above the metal lip of the fender - are they supposed-to be up there, or should I leave them UNDER the metal? There's a small cut-out at the top which might be used to catch the liner with a screw, but that would require drilling a new hole in the metal - not a happy thought. What is the correct method of securing the top portion of the liner? Should it be tucked above the metal, left to hang down under, or screwed in?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Joe...

Re:Rear Wheel Well Liners - Installation Question
When I installed mine, I set the top of the liner on top of the fender lip and left it like that. I didn't bolt it or anything, just left it "loose". Been about 4 months now and no problems.

Re:Rear Wheel Well Liners - Installation Question
Thanks guys for the info. My liners are in the garage still. I think I need to take them to the body shop since I don't have a plastic rivet gun..

Re:Rear Wheel Well Liners - Installation Question
JoeDiesel,
I'm real happy with Chrysler as well. I had a 99 SLT Larime and my 02 is missing several amenities. Body side molding on the truck bed, light around the ingnition key hole, and molding on the tailgate. How many Porshe's can the children of Chrysler Executives possibly need? : ;D Sorry being a little sarcastic. Anyway, I bought another Dodge for the Cummins. 8) Adios.

From what I've heard, the '99 was the model year with the most "Bells & Whistles".
Starting with the 2000 model year, DC cut a few items each year.
Stuff like rear cup holders, wheel well liners, Lighted driver's and passenger's sun visors, Hood Insulation, Halo around "ignition" switch...I'm sure there are others.

Re:Rear Wheel Well Liners - Installation Question
Yeah, BUT in 2001.5 we got REAL brakes, with disc's on all four corners. Please do not tell my wife that I traded the lighted vanity for those rear disc's. 99's also where 'more' prone to injector pump issues. Also auto trannys have continued to get small improvements (lip seals etc) And what rear seat???? SNOKING
