Tracked down why no parking or dash lights

I had no parking lights and started blowing the fuse on the dash lights. Tracked it down to the license plate lights. the connectors on both lights had deteriorated and one of the bulbs had shorted
Hope this helps!

Yea that seems to be one of those weird/hard to track down problems. Glad you got it fixed.

It sure helped me. I've been looking for a bad wire in the parking light system for over a month! I knew the license plate bulbs were burned out, but never looked at them till now. Thanks!

I had the same problem except my plate lights melted all the way though and was shortin out. The only other worse short that took me months too find was in my old ram charger when some pennies fell in the cigarette light in the ash tray only way I found it was when it shorted out at night.
