Temp sending Unit for outside temp

The over head in my 96 3500 showes 63* out made me feel better but its only 22*. Anyone know where the sensor is?

On my 01 the the ambient temperature sensor is located behind the grill under the hood (near hood latch).

On your '96 the sensor is almost behind the driver's side head light on the radiator support. Only thing that area with wires going to it.
If you are running a winter front it will read high but not as high as you're seeing.
