Spare Tire Size (What fits?)
Got new shoes a while ago, 285/75R16's but did not replace the spare. The current spare is the OEM 265/75R16. Am getting paranoid about getting a flat and not having the right size spare. Will a 285/75R16 fit underneath where the spare goes without any mods?
Thanks,
Rob

The 285 should fit.
You might run into problems if you go with a 4inch or bigger exhaust.
If it looks too close to the exhaust for your comfort, you shoud be able to slide it a little to the left to create more space.
Once you get up to 305's and 315's and bigger, then you start running into clearance problems under there.
The above only applies to 2nd gen body styles.
Have read on the 3rd gen forums that even the 315's fit.

I've got a 285 hung up as my spare. It fits well between the frame rails. The only thing is it takes a little wiggling to get it up past the rear sway bar and differential, but once you get it set up it goes right in.
And it still leaves room for my 4" exhaust to get around it without getting too close.
