Lil dog glad to hear it is working as I am looking at doing mine with the same product, I also don't really feel like ripping out the interior, I first opted for the dvd units in the back of the seats with remote headsets to keep the kids from whining, however usually the drone just puts them to sleep, line x'ing the bed and rockers seemed to quiet things abit even though I did it for other reasons. Keep us updated on the final results...

Ripping out the interior took me about 1 hour, thats seats, panels and carpet. So the dismantleing is the easy part. Rolling on the dampener stuff was the difficult part. Its soooo sticky that you have to get it right the first time, it pulls the fingers out of my vinyl gloves. (If you aren't familiar, its an aluminum sheeting with vinyl butyl (tar like) barrier that sticks to the body panel.) But after that its just planning out the layout. They really should do it from the factory like that. Now I just have to do the front half of the floor. Then I will work on the rear side panels and doors. They say to double up the coverage on the firewall, so I may do that too. Just yesterday on my cruising/gravel travel I have dropped my volume levels on my stereo 2 points, so something must be working.

TTT update...

Had a couple trips with the kids and wife towing the TT around and it has been given a large thumbs up!! Cruising is much more relaxing for all occupants especially on the hills with high load. It used to make the floorboards and cab just vibrate, but now its just a dull hum. I still have to do the front half of the cab for the full effect, but I give this a solid 4 out of 5 soot blasts for bang-for-buck...

Further testing required, now just to take care of the SAII noise..LOL..

I want to do this all around the shift boot and firewall, thats where most my noise is coming from that gets annoying.

Thats exactly the part I have not done yet. Everything behind the driver/passenger seat is covered, well twice. Once with the foil/butyl stuff and then the foam/rubber sound matting. When I get enough time, I will be pulling the rear side panels again to see what exactly I can cover. I don't want to make it air tight as the door vents flow through there for closed window A/C.

Don't get me wrong, I still get a pretty good drone, but its not the tooth shattering rattle like before. I may do double coverage on the firewall and tranny tunnel.. For the price, the outcome is near what I expected.
