If its like the POS lund visor that was on my truck when I got it, all you have to do is take off the screw caps and unscrew. Mine is still on because I dont like cab lights and I dont want holes in the top of my truck. When I get around to repainting it will go.

A visor is one of those deals...once it's on...it's on for good.. When you remove it you will have holes from the mounting screws that need to be filled in with careful welding and sheet metal work.

Unfortunantly i dont think mine is the POS kind. It looks pretty on there. Which sheet metal work is about the last thing on the list of wants right now. If anyone else knows anything, Please speek up.

How could i pull off my a-piller cover? I just thought that maybe if i could get above/behind the carpet on the celing, i can see if the visor is bolted down on the inside.

Here is mine. I think it looks ok, but the wind it catches and it makes it hard to "flip" frozen wipers. This has little painted buttons on top where its mounted. These are screw covers. Pop of the covers and the screws are underneath. Probably sealed with some sealant.

Yours should not be mounted on the inside, trust me its way too much work to mount one that way.

Dam wurkenman! Thats a good lookin truck ya got there. I didint think about those top caps bein able to pop off. Ill take a closer look tomorrow in the light and see if mine has that kinda set up. That'd make it alot easier to find out what i can do with it. Thanks alot dude, Ill let ya know what i find out.

That was the only complaint I had about my 2500 when I bought it, that stupid Lund Moon Visor. I had the same problem if you take it off filling the holes will be a pain, so I left it on. Until a nice gust of wind in WY while driving on I-90 took it off for me. Pulled all the screws loose and cracked the sheet metal in several spots. I carefully welded the screw holes and cracks and touched it up with paint until I finally had the truck repainted many years later. I am glad the visor fad is over. I should have asked the dealership to take it off when I bought the truck.

Ouch gust of wind huh. Bad way to go. Atleast its off though huh. Which i can now say the same for mine! You were right wurkenman popped those caps off and just kept goin from there. Wasnt to bad so far. Just need to clean the rest of the sticky off. For the holes my plan is to get it all cleaned up, get some new low profile screws paint em red like the truck and stick em back in the holes with a dot of silicone to seal em up water tight. Told some guys here that idea while they were lookin at it off and we think you wont even be able to see em unless your up close lookin right at em.

Thanks for the compliment. I cant tell you how much I like my truck. Glad you got the screw thing figured out. Good lock with the visor. I thought at one time about just putting the screws and caps back on, but I'm kind of **** about not wanting the little unused buttons up ther. I plan on repainting in the next year or so.
