Radiator Leaking At Seam
Seems like the radiator on my '95 2500 has busted a seam on the driver's side. My mechanic said he can't get brass radiators for this truck and wants to put an aluminum one in. He also said this one can't be repaired. Truck has 354,xxx miles so I'm not complaining about the old radiator giving up the ghost, but what are your thoughts on an aluminum radiator for our trucks?

Yep, mine did the samething, leaking at the aluminum/plastic seam. I looked for all aluminum radiators and found the cheapest at $600+
I gave up looking and just bought a factory replacement from the rad shop ive used before and think it was about $325.

Check my thread just below. Replace radiator. I got a new radiator from Rock Auto for about $150
Yeah it's aluminum with plastic tanks but so was my OEM. It went 345k.
I also have an aluminum rad in my supercharged SBC 41 ****** and its got 20k on it. Cost more than the truck rad.
Nothing wrong with aluminum.

I got mine from NAPA about 5 years and 43000 miles ago & have had no problems with it. Fairly easy to change in our trucks. You may want to get the correct tool to release the spring clamps on the hoses - it makes it even easier.
