power seats
On my 01 2500 HO, one of the drivers power seat switches used to work but now doesn't at all. They all work except the rearmost switch which controls the elevation of the rear of the seat bottom. Pushing the button down still causes the rear of the seat to move downwards, but moving the switch upwards does nothing. Thus I'm stuck with the seat down too low for my liking. Any suggestions on how to remedy this? Can I bypass the switch to move the seat bottom up and then disconnect the switch, or cut/disconnect a certain wire so it will stay there? Can I get to the switch to clean it? Sometimes when I lean in while outside the truck, my leg hits the switch and the seat moves (only downwards now.

The switches get dirty, the motors bind up.
If you're handy you can remove the switch panel and pop it apart to clean. Sometimes you can persuade the motors to activate by turning the ends of the shafts...4 bolts pulls the seat cushion for better access, 10mm iirc.
