As the heading says: requesting the part # for license plate light wiring + bulb + lens - 98 12 valve. What is the best (cheapest + shipping) place to source these parts?

another option would be to make your own. just have to find a socket with pigtails and then wire in the rest from your taillight assembly. might not be as easy . . . but probably cheaper i'm guessing. if you make your own . . . might as well go LED too.

I abandoned the factory ones, as the sockets will fall apart eventually. I went with a generic cheap-o license plate light, screwed it to the plastic under the plate. Easy to find and replace if it does go bad, and it costs about as much as two lamps.

also www.genosgarage now has the lamps, what ever you replace them with you can get a led bulb for them. brighter and less heat. use dialectric grease on them. the stockers just get to hot and dry rot the bulbs housing and wire.
