overhead computer

Since i got my truck over a year ago my overhead computer indicates between 19 and 20 mpg .

By hand i calculated 23 to 24 but it just hit me that in Canada its the imperial gallon and its a little bigger so my computer is very close to accurate.

Any comments?

I only hand calculated once on a road trip and found mine to be pretty accurate. Others are nay sayers, most seem to feel that the overhead reads a bit higher than it should.

When my truck was stock I found the overhead to be about 1.4mpg generous. I hand checked every tank of fuel for about the first 30K miles and it was always slightly under what the overhead displayed.

My overhead is between 1-2 mpg too generous since the installation of my Edge EZ a few years back.

Stock mine was always within .1 of what was hand calculated. On long trips with constant speed with the TST on level 3 it's within .3.
