no running lights on travel trailer?

well i got pulled over today for no tail lights on my travel trailer. i neglected to check them before i left. i got a warning thank goodness. i got under the truck and poked around but could find nothing wrong. all lights on the truck work fine and the brake lights and turn signals work on the trailer but no power at the 7 way connector on the tail light blade inside the plug. i carry a spare socket so i changed it out and still no running lights.
i followed the harness and could find nothing.
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

That happened to me on my horse trailer. The trailer fuse in my power distribution box was blown.

You even check the 40 or 50amp fuse in the power distribution box under the hood? It's green. Many people don't realize that's a key trailer fuse. Usually if that goes it takes out more than the running lights on the trailer.

Run down the wire at all connections and you'll find the problem. All other lights work it's a sure fire bet that it's just that wire at a connection, wire nut, butt splice something.

I had the same problem. Thought I checked all the fuses. Turned out I missed this one. They sometimes don't break in the middle....maybe off to one side or the other.

I would try replacing that fuse first anyway. I had one in my 01 that went bad on the inside and had not visibly blown.
