Another vote for the a/c drain. What I found on mine is that it was indeed dripping out of drain. However, I had someone rev the engine, and the added wind in that area from the engine fan was enough to get it running down the bottom of the nipple, into the cab. Imagine what it's like when your going down the road at 60mph.

Also, the higher the fan setting on the a/c, pressure builds up in the a/c box and you can feel the air coming out of the drain. Therefore, the worst condition would be going down the road with the a/c fan on low--not as much air pushing the water out, more air pushing back against the fire wall.

I don't have a sliding window so I can rule that out.

Air pressure on the condensate tube is a good point. Extending the tube below the firewall may even create a vacuum but certainly better than point straight ahead

My Buddy has an 01 sport w/power everything and he was getting water in on the drivers side most of the time.He found that there was a black clip (with the hood up)with a wiring harness going into the truck. The water would run down the windshield ,under the hood to the wiring then into the cab(I believe thats how his happened). Not sure if I am describing the spot correctly, but, with the hood up,it`s exposing the front drivers part of the cab.He just use silicone, will let him know about that rubbery stuff(constuction grade).Hope this may also help someone.

I just wanted to bump this to the top in case anyone else needs to see it. My cab was getting kind of musty smelling so I looked into the third brake light which I found was leaking. So I replaced the bulbs and sealed it off so I won't have to deal with it for a while. Well when I pulled the carpet out yesterday it was kind of nasty on the passenger side floor, so I'm going to do the A/C drain hose which I noticed was dripping off a few different spots. Thanks!

My water leak was from a bad seal around the rear window (non-slider). Water would seep all the way to the drivers side area. Had to remove rear seat and had my wife spray the hose to locate the leak. Had Glass Company replace the seal. Been dry for 2 years. .

It seems most of these problems are on the younger 2nd gen trucks.

I have had no problems with my 02 in this area whatsoever. Has the design changed at all, or is it just a matter of time that my 02 will also have these problems???

Yep, it took more time to find the drain than to actually put the hose on it. The 5/8" heater hose fit like a glove.

I know this is a old post but it is what I am going through right now. So Hohn the later trucks may also have a problem. I just thought it was a nice day and I would pull my carpet out to powerwash it. And when I lifted the carpet up it was soaking wet under it. Not only was it wet but rust has started on the floor were it was wet. Looks like it has been wet for some time but I never would have known unless I pulled the carpet up. Has always been dry inside and no smells to let me know anything was wet. So be warned, you may want to just check the carpet sometime. So far useing a hose I have found a leak at the brake light and the weather stripping on the driverside were the rear door and front door meet. I will keep updating.
P.S. fixing the brake light with a canopy on is a PITA.

My carpet was the same way, seemed dry until I felt the padding underneath. For a vehicle that is parked in a garage every night it seemed a bit odd. The smell has never returned on mine after doing those fixes.

Mine had a bad leak also. When it rained the water would completely soak the pass. side carpet. I caulked the brake light, didnt help. A couple of more showers come and went, with the last one being the straw that crippled the camel I took topper and slid it back. I had a couple of tubes of caulk. I went to the plug on that caulk gun w/ both tubes. Went around like again, and all the way around the back glass molding rubber. Dry as a bone now.
