mirrors
Have been looking at towing mirrors. Have been told aftermarket mirrors vibrate and are poor quality. Oe towing mirrors do not have power or heat. Any experience with aftermarket mirros would help greatly Thanks Wayne

I bought a set for my 98.5 a few years ago off eBay. They were power/heated and i think they were around $240ish, then another $36ish for the support brackets. They didn't vibrate anymore than the original small ones. From what i found it seems like some people cut the studs short like the original ones instead of installing the support brackets.

I got a set several years ago off ebay the slide out like on the Fords. I have swapped them out from truck to truck for years on all my second gens. I love them and like Farmboy said, about $240. Be sure to use the inner support bracket on any type you buy. Mine didn't require bolt trimming.

Kool-vue mirrors are what I replaced the stock flip outs with. Same quality, same vibration over 70 or in a cross wind.
Still the power heated feature is nice. |

Good quality!
You'll either love 'em or hate 'em.... |
I put a set of these on and went on an extended off road expedition in the desert. They work great, no bouncing. I should have done it a long time ago. These come with the support bracket included, others make you buy them seperate. [dummy]
