Lowering Front End

Is there any issue with lowering the front end of my truck? Could I just get springs from a 2wd or other lower-sitting dodge? I don't want to slam it, just sit a few inches lower for getting stuff in the bed, towing, etc.

The suspension only has a few inches of uptravel from the factory, you would have very little left if you lowered the fron any, and would hit the bump stops all the time.

It would also raise your bumper. The rear axle would act as a fulcrum in this case, lowering everything in front of it, and raising everyhting behind it.

I would suggest leaving it alone.

I was planning on lowering the rear as well, so I'm not concerned about the bumper issue. My concern was steering geometry, front axle travel, etc. Your mention of the lack of travel is definitely a concern. Why does the 4x4 model have such little suspension travel? It would make sense to me that it would have much more than the 2wd models.
