Lost turn signals, brake lights now front & rear?
Hello all - long time since I've been on here. Still have old '96, though someone's trying to buy it from me.
Tonight headed home, I noted the turn signals where not flashing in the dash panel. puzzled, I looked in rearview to see if the brake lights worked as it was dark out. They do...but the right turn signal light in the dash lit up as well with the brakes! And as I turned into my drive, I could see the front turn signal lights were going to their brighter setting when applying the brakes!
So - any ideas on what's up here? The bright lights do turn on and off normally, I can here the signal trying to work. Did I loose a switch? Thanks for your insight!

bulb is completely possible. from what you describe it sounds as if you have a loose or broken ground wire somewhere. also do not rule out the brake switch or the multifunction switch.

Hazard switch. The way this system is designed the brake and turn signals are the same circuit. If you turn on your hazard lights and hit the brake you will get that exact behavior. The problem is likely in your multi-function switch, which controls the hazard, turn signals, dimmer and wipers.
Could be as simple as wiggling your hazard switch, but that isn't a long-term fix.
