I tabed my kdp yesterday. I couldn,t find a jig just as well. When I pulled cover pin had migrated out 3/16 on an inch. My truck is 14years old but only 124000 mi. D.C.

Sounds like mine. It was out about that far as well. Did you locktite the bolts that hold the timing case to the block?

Yes I used locktite on all the bolts, now I can sleep at night.
